We stayed here for Christmas this year and had a lovely time. The grounds and location were beautiful and convenient to shopping. The house was well stocked for a large group. The room Air conditioners worked well and there was plenty of space for each person with the bathrooms. It would not work well for an ADA accessible or those not good with stairs. That wasn’t an issue for us and our group. Thanks again for having us.

Lizzie Marshall is wonderful . First encounter was early 2019 while trying to organise a 4 generation family of 10 for a 50th anniversary/birthday special. Covid hit and within 6 weeks we were able to cancel and also had received our full refund deposit. Needless to say she was our first point of contact in May this year to organise the long awaited celebrations. Nothing was too much trouble. Response to any enquiry was almost immediate, with suggestions and options which were most helpful. Zanzoo Estate was the ideal spot for us. The house and facilities were amazing and was the perfect place for large family meals or alternatively finding a beautiful and serene spot for personal quiet time. The gardens and pool area are stunning and the estate is only 20 mins from the hustle and bustle of Cairns. Lizzie's liaison with the Zanzoo Estate owner was another plus, which made our 2 week stay in September an absolute dream holiday. Highly recommended!!

Absolutely magical 2 weeks in Sept/October. Family with 4 generations - 70s/50s/20s/early teens. Wonderful peaceful setting with plenty of space inside and outside. If you felt the need, it was very easy to find a space away from everyone else!! All facilities as per photos and the kitchen was perfectly set up with everything we needed. Beautiful spot for outdoor eating too. About 20 mins from the city, so we hired 3 cars so each family was able to do their own thing during the day. Perfect holiday, there was even talk of returning in a couple of years. The caretaker is close by, but there are no privacy issues. However there was instant response when we had to call on him for a couple of small issues in the first day or two; a very pleasant and helpful person. The mid holiday clean was excellent too and well timed.

We enjoyed our second family holiday at Zanzoo in July. Fabulous location for a large family with children and grandchildren. The swimming pool, tennis court and ample space for kids to run around was ideal. Our hosts were very helpful to meet any special requirements we had. Highly recommended - thankyou!

We loved our stay at Zanzoo. We had a group of 13 (4 adults, 3 teens, and 5 pre-teens) and we all had an amazing time. The property itself is beautiful, great pool, great tennis court (with rackets and balls), and just a serene setting in the valley on the river. Inside the house was great as well, well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, and great common space. Everything you need. Host was great and extremely helpful. 5 minutes to Crystal Cascade (waterfalls and great swimming holes), 5 minutes to freshwater stations to the train up to Karanda, and extremely easy to get into town. Will recommend and hopefully stay again! Thanks we had a great time!

Nicole’s place is truly beautiful, I would highly recommend anyone to stay there just to take in the incredible scenery.
The villa was clean, had an insane amount of space and was still close enough to the city as well as other awesome places
around Cairns. I cannot wait to go back!

Lizzie from Cairns Holiday Homes was wonderful. We were due to take a holiday in July 2021 at Zanzoo retreat and then lock down happened and we had to cancel. Lizzie was amazing in helping us negotiate a full refund from AirBnB. We will definitely be booking again as soon as we can leave Sydney. A company you can completely trust to do the right thing. We had an absolutely amazing time staying at Zanzoo house We were a group of 8 and the 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms suited us perfectly .There was space in the house for everyone to be together or to find a quiet balcony or room for some peace. The grounds were sensational with a lovely swimming pool and the tennis court. We were very lucky to find this gem and thanks so much to Lizzie for facilitating it for us . We will be back!

This beautiful grand old home, delightful furnished with antique and modern pieces. Comfortable for large families or friends get together. Very spacious and peacefully relaxing grounds. Tennis court is a bonus with a dip in the pool to cool off.

We enjoyed our stay at Zanzoo so much! Our group of 12 had plenty of space, both inside and out. The kids had a blast in the pool and on the tennis court and the adults loved the Nespresso machine and the roomy bedrooms. We loved the huge kitchen, having breakfast on the balcony upstairs, the abundance of bathrooms and the beautiful grounds (including deck overlooking the creek). The property is just a few kms from Crystal Cascades, shops and an adorable cafe / restaurant. Very easy to book and pay. We hope to visit again next time we’re in North Qld!

Zanzoo Retreat - August 2019

We had a very enjoyable stay and Georgina was very helpful (my daughter had locked her phone in the house on our leaving!).  The house was great and our whole family had a great stay.  The weather wasn't kind but on the days we didn't venture out the kids (young and old) enjoyed the tennis court and even the pool! We found there was everything we needed to keep all 3 generations of our family occupied.  The only issue was one remote control in the downstairs bedroom not working but I let Georgina know when we left.

What a wonderful property. Clean and spacious with beautiful grounds to wander or play cricket, a large clean pool and the tennis court of course. The Manager and Caretaker were friendly and helpful always. I am happy to highly recommend Zanzoo Retreat.
