A very well equipped 2 bedroom home with a large lawn at the back. Grimshaw St is a lovely street of graceful "Queenslander" timber houses with wide verandahs.

The city's main shopping centre (Cairns Central) is just across the road, along with the main railway terminal. Cairns Central has the main cinema complex in the city.

The  Cairns Esplanade and swimming lagoon are a 15 minute walk across the city. Cairns has several art galleries specializing in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, a fantastic new Civic Theatre, cafes everywhere and the famous Rusty's Market for fabulous fruit and veg on Fridays. Looking for a prezzie to take home? Try the Regional Art Gallery or Northsite Gallery (both in Abbott St) for interesting and unique local art and craft.

Enjoy one of the waterside restaurants on the marina boardwalk -  from a pile of prawns on the deck of the Prawn Star to the amazing native ingredient menu at Ochre or the relaxed courtyard ambience at Mondos. 

For two couples looking for a weekend break, Red Sparrow 2 is very well located for getting around without a car.

For example, you can take a Skyrail bus out to the Skyrail base, take the gondola over the rainforest to Kuranda, browse the market and then take the afternoon train back almost to your door. 

You must visit the Cairns Flecker Botanic gardens. Situated on beautiful Collins Avenue at the northern edge of the city, they are an incredible display of the wonder of nature. The Tanks Art Centre is here too. The concert theatre in one of the old World War 2 fuel tanks is amazing. It may be classical, jazz, folk or rock but you will not forget the atmospere of this unique music venue.
