A smart apartment, close to Cairns Esplanade and walking distance to the CBD, with a well-kept garden and a large crystal clear swimming pool.

The International Tennis Centre is just 300m along Lily St - you can hire courts, rackets and balls. The northern end of the Cairns Esplanade is 200m from the apartment. It is the start of a 3km walk to the Cairns Esplanade Lagoon which is next to the CBD. 

Cairns Esplanade is the heart of Cairns. It is busy from first thing in the morning with free aerobics/pilates/yoga classes. You will find people playing Boule, walking their dogs, jogging, picnicing at the many free bbqs, playing beach volley ball or just strolling along to enjoy the wonderful view across Trinity Bay.

At the weekends there is a very good market near the Lagoon. Past the Lagoon changing rooms, walk to the left down the magnificent fig avenue, to the Cairns Yacht club and The Salt House ( a very popular waterfront bar and restaurant) and then along the waterfront boardwalk where the yachts and reef cruise boats tie up. Further long is the popular waterfront bistro at Mondos and beyond that the wharf and Cruise Terminal.

The Cairns Esplanade - take the time to walk the whole way in the early morning or late afternoon - it takes about 35 minutes. Go in the morning, I recommend stopping for breakfast at Villa Romana on the corner of Aplin St. It has the best view over Trinity Bay. Go in the afternoon, I suggest walking right on past the lagoon, to The Cairns Yacht Club and The Salt House. From here you can walk out along the finger wharf to where the super-yachts are moored.

Returning, go left round The Salt House beer garden and along the marina boardwalk. The Shangri-La is on your right with restaurants along the verandah overlooking the marina. Further along the boardwalk are more restaurants under The harbour Lights building. The next building is the Hilton. Its garden bar bistro, Mondos, has the best outdoor waterfront position for a drink or a meal.
