Bramston Beachfront Cottage, 36 Evans Road

Our old-fashioned beach house at Bramston has been the family escape for eight years. We spent several months exploring every beach from Tully Heads to Cairns seeking our idyllic hideaway.

At Bramston, we found what we were looking for: a quiet beachside haven that seemed to have been forgotten in the rush to develop the beautiful coastline flanking the Great Barrier Reef.

The beach is only 70m from the verandah through our garden and a reserve with tall Melaleucas and coconut palms. The beach has a net-enclosed swimming area to protect swimmers from the jellyfish which can be a hazard between November and April. There is also a lifeguard on duty during holiday periods.
