An amazing house – ideal for 1 or 2 couples looking for a city escape. Two 1 bedroom studios are on the lower ground floor of a large hillside home above Stratford village. Each studio has the use of the shared living room in the main part of the house upstairs. The living room has a large TV, comfy seating, a snooker table and overlooks the pool and garden. The garden is surrounded by tall rainforest trees and has a running creek for half the year.

The owners, Terry and Robyn Murray, live in the upper part of the house and will do everything to make your stay the best ever. With Robyn's great design ideas and Terry's know how (he is a builder and a professional fisherman) they have created a fantastic holiday house.

These vacation studio apartments are on a unique property in one of Cairns most beautiful suburbs. Stratford is "old Cairns" with wide leafy green streets displaying many of the best examples of high set North Queensland timber houses.

Enjoy an early morning walk through the park running from Cochrane St down to the village and reward yourself with a coffee at the deli. The Barron River is just the other side of the main road and the old Barron Bridge behind the RSL and bowls club is a favourite fishing spot (1.4km). This is a wonderful retreat but only minutes from Cairns CBD.
